Nebraska

About

Nebraska Esports was founded in 2019 through the unification of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Rocket League and League of Legends clubs. Since 2022, the organization has been housed within UNL's College of Journalism and Mass Communications and operates out of a state-of-the-art facility in the Nebraska Union. Building on a strong history of regional competitive excellence, Esports Director Dr. Ryan Tan has spearheaded the program's expansion onto the national stage. Beyond competition, the program offers hands-on student experiences and curriculum pathways designed to prepare students for careers in the esports industry. As one of the most prominent programs in the Great Plains, Nebraska Esports leverages its growing influence and community to elevate the entire regional ecosystem. Nebraska Esports is a founding member of the PEC and competes in every main and affiliate title within the league.
